MEET YOUR HOSTS:

Hosted by Karen Anderson of Minycled at our Sustainable Fashion Week Hub Torquay is an interactive, workshop-led event focused on circular fashion and textile repair.

From Karen Anderson: “Here is what our inspiring founders will be doing over the weekend: Karen Anderson (Minycled): Hosting the event and demonstrating how to remake and upcycle surplus textiles into contemporary slow fashion.

Karin Marchant (Eklectable & Co): Showcasing curated Torquay-based mid-century, period, and decorative vintage furniture, pottery, glass, and bespoke lampshades, while her 9-year-old granddaughter Millie demonstrates how to make recycled jewellery from broken pieces. Duncan Stewart (Green Dolphin Glass): Exhibiting beautifully upcycled homeware and gifts handcrafted from salvaged glass bottles.

Jade Hopton (The Walking Wardrobe): Running our community clothes swap to help visitors refresh their wardrobes sustainably. Carmen Croxall (Thrift Warehouse & Craft Shop): Showcasing reclaimed craft supplies and fabrics from Exeter so people can reuse materials in creative, different ways. Our collective goal is to empower visitors with the hands-on skills needed to love their clothes longer, reuse existing materials, and actively resist fast-fashion waste.”
