What participants need to make: Create one 5 x 5 inch fabric square using any fabric and technique you like. Choose fabric that makes you smile, embroider a picture or message, add cross-stitch, appliqué, patchwork or decorative stitching—or simply send a favourite piece of fabric.
Please include your name with your square. Keep the outer ¼ inch around each edge clear so the squares can be joined together safely.
Skill level: Everyone is welcome. No previous sewing or textile experience is required.
Free to take part. No booking required. Squares can be dropped off at M24 Arts or sent by post.
Suitable for adults and children. Children are welcome to create their own square with support from an adult.
What will happen to the squares: All contributions will be joined to create the Threads of Change Community Quilt, celebrating individuality, creativity and collective action. The finished quilt will be displayed at M24 Arts for visitors to enjoy.
