Join Greener and Cleaner for a fun, 2-hour workshop where you will learn about options to perform visible mending on your clothing repairs which will give them a creative new look. We will be covering techniques that will include patching with blanket stitch, embroidery, Japanese Boro and Japanese Sashiko. We will demonstrate all of them and you will have the opportunity to complete a mend with one of the techniques.
You are welcome to bring your own mend with you or we will have fabric swatches that you can use to simulate a mend. We will have a selection of fabric patches, embroidery threads and sashiko threads available for use during the workshop. Join Greener and Cleaner for a fun, creative 2-hour workshop where you will learn the traditional textile repair technique of darning. Darning can be done to look as invisible as possible or as colourful and creative as you wish. The technique is the same for whichever style you choose.
You are welcome to bring your own mend with you or we will have fabric swatches or old socks that you can use to simulate a mend. We will have a selection of yarns and embroidery threads available for use during the workshop. If you have your own darning mushroom you are welcome to bring it, otherwise we will be using tennis balls to support the fabric while darning. This workshop is suitable for ages 16+.

Join Shama to transform discarded textile into unique tapestry piece. As a sustainable design practitioner, Shama believes in circular creativity. In this beginner friendly session, you will learn foundation weaving techniques while giving new life to waste or unwanted fabrics. Please bring along your own old clothing that we can cut and repurpose into yarns for your mini project. We will explore textures and composition turning waste into art.

Join us for our first Pints & Panels of SFW 2026 as we tackle our burning question: What actually is sustainable fashion?
We’ll be getting stuck into the big questions, the small ones and the ones you didn't even know you had — including whether you should recycle your pants or throw them away, and whether some of the things we're told about fashion are really just a load of VPL (Visible Panty Lies).
Hosted by Natascha Radclyffe-Thomas, with a panel of experts, we'll compare notes, challenge assumptions and see whether we can find some answers — or perhaps just leave with better questions.
And there’s more: Natascha will also be celebrating the launch of The Routledge Companion to Fashion and Business, the new book she co-edited with Babette Radclyffe-Thomas. Bringing together research, industry insight and perspectives on everything from fashion psychology and retail to sustainability and the future of fashion, it’s a bumper exploration of the fashion system — and gives us even more to talk about.

Hot off the F.F.S. – For Fashion’s Sake catwalk, join designers, stylists and content creators Nicole Akong, Soph - The Too Much Club and Haus of Wincott’s Christopher Wincott as they talk about their journeys through sustainable style, self-expression and charity shops!
Grab a pint, a glass of wine or your drink of choice as our three guests explore how to dopamine dress, find your own style and express yourself through fashion, while sharing stories from their lives on and off the runway.

This year, instead of buying new, grab that bag of clothes you've been meaning to sell online and/or your novelty collections and head down to Hopscotch on Tuesday 13 October for a different type of clothes swap
This autumn swap your clothes whilst mixing with a new group of people alongside cocktails and pints! This clothes swap isn't just about swapping and leaving, this is your opportunity to socialise with other like-minded people, swan around a great venue and have a cocktail or three all whilst supporting Sustainable Fashion Week Crystal Palace Hub 2026. Find something new, make a statement - all whilst being sustainable.
What to bring:
Bring up to 5 items of clothing - please do not bring any ultra fast fashion brands such as Shein, Aliexpress,Temu, Boohoo, Pretty Little Thing or associated labels (this excludes novelty wear)
Up to 5 items of accessories - jewelry, hats, shoes, scarfs etc - just no undies please
All items need to have been recently laundened… ironing, we’ll leave that up to you!

Join our free film night and get inspired with two thought-provoking films. Part of Sustainable Fashion Week Crystal Palace Hub, hosted by Penge Climate Collective.
Our latest film night brings together 2 inspiring films; one addresses the power of mending and the other is about using your skills to bring about change.
We meet Upstairs at Southey Brewing, a cosy space perfect for sipping a locally made beer (literally underneath where you'll be sat... - other drinks are available!) and enjoying a couple of short films with likeminded neighbours. Arrive from 7pm. We'll kick off around 7:10 and wrap up this part of the evening at around 8:30pm.
Everyone is then welcome to stick around for chats as we talk more about the film as well as challenges local people are facing and what we can do about it.
