Introducing SFW Hub: Bristol South. Led by two organisations in Bristol: Sarah Oxley of Making Mends and Holly Oldfield of BS3 Community.

Come celebrate slow fashion: screen print pre-loved tees, swap great-but-unwanted items, fix your stuff, upcycle your denim, plus loads more inspiration to reduce, rewear, repair, repurpose and RESIST fast fashion. Hosted by Making Mends and BS3 Community Development In partnership with St Peter's Hospice, Southville branch.
Participants can bring: clothes to repair, a t-shirt, tote or tea towel to screen print on, good quality clothes to swap, denim to fix or upcycle, old t-shirts to turn into yarn for crochet.
All skill levels welcome.

How long does it take to make a pair of jeans? Join our screening of Woman Grows Jeans, followed by a discussion with Labour Behind the Label's Policy Lead, Anna Bryher. Hosted by Making Mends, BS3 Community Development & Labour Behind The Label.
Suitable for aged 14+, under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

How many clothes can we fix during our 3-hour community mending marathon? Guidance, moral support, good chat, tools and materials, plus food from Kate's Kitchen provided to fuel repairs. Bring your repair pile, and a sewing kit if you have one. All skill levels welcome. Come when you can, stay for as long as you like.

Making Mends brings people together to mend, (re)make and swap our way through Bristol’s collective wardrobe to keep textiles out of landfill.
BS3 Community Development BS3 Community exists to elevate the wellbeing, health, happiness, and sense of connection among the residents of the BS3 area in Bristol.
They’ve teamed up to showcase fun, creative and beautiful alternatives to fast fashion at community events across two great Bedminster venues; the Southville Centre and Windmill Hill City Farm.
