Come along to Creative Space and make your own upcycled shoulder bag in this sustainable sewing workshop in Staple Hill. The perfect chance to re-purpose those scraps or unused clothes and make something useful! Hosted by Creative Space tutor, Lauren Holloway.
What to bring: Scrap fabric, minimum size 100x40cm. Suggested fabrics: Cotton, cotton canvas, medium-weight denim. Sewing machine, if you have your own, otherwise all sewing machines and accessories will be provided. Suitable for beginners & improvers.

Discover the art of Visible Mending and bring an old favourite clothes item back to life! Use darning and embroidery in contrasting colours to show the beauty of an imperfection. Hosted by Creative Space tutor Jacqui Reeves. Bring along clothing items you want to repair. Suitable for beginners & improvers.

Bring your wardrobe back to life in this Clothes Alterations sewing workshop at Creative Space. Re-fit or repair your favourites and go home with 2-3 repurposed items. Hosted by Creative Space tutor Jacqui Reeves.
Bring along 2-3 clothing items you want to repair and a sewing machine if you have one and want to use your own, otherwise we have all sewing machines and accessories. Suitable for those with a basic knowledge of a sewing machine.

VENUE ACCESSIBILITY
The main workshop space is accessible for wheelchair users, however the kitchen and toilet area is only accessible via two small steps. If you find it difficult to stand during a class or have any other access needs, please let us know when booking so we can make appropriate arrangements. Parking is free around the studio.

Creative Space offers a friendly studio space in Staple Hill offering daytime, evening and weekend creative workshops and courses for adults, kids and teens. Learn upholstery, stained glass, sewing & dressmaking, jewellery, painting, pottery, weaving, crochet, printmaking, creative writing and much more. They run daytime, evening and weekend classes and their space is available to hire.
